Creative writing: from short story to scholarly personal narrative

This course is designed to explore and strengthen voice. We will look at structure and content through readings and exercises in traditional and contemporary forms. Students will make oral presentations in class and critique each other's work. Readings, discussions and writing assignments will include personal and literary essays, opinion pieces, short stories, scholarly articles, journalism and a final research project of 10- 12 pages. All disciplines are welcome.
